As part of Victoria Police’s Safer Trading Program, police now have 35 “safe zones” at police stations across the state to reduce crime linked to dodgy transactions on Facebook Marketplace.

It comes after statistics showed an increase in thefts and burglaries after people decided to meet someone to buy or sell goods.
