A fire at a boarded-up home on Redwood Avenue remains under investigation.

The fire occurred in the 400 block of Redwood, in a vacant two-story home that was the scene of at least three previous fires in November and December of last year, as well as early of the month. Winnipeg Fire paramedic crews responded to reports of the fire at 11:17 a.m. Sunday and declared the fire under control within 20 minutes.

No damage estimate is available. The fire department reminded Winnipeggers to call 911 if they see someone removing boards from windows or doors to enter a vacant property. People should call 311 if they notice signs have been removed but do not see anyone entering the property.
