South Park-Inspired Lizzo Ozempic Halloween Costume

Lizzo made a rather silly reference to him during a recent episode of “South Park” and elevated it to a hilarious Halloween costume.

The Grammy-winning singer shared a series of new messages with her Verified Instagram Saturday, showing off his outfit, which consisted of a fake medicine box brandishing his name along with warnings in small print, including “FDA Approved,” “Diet Suppressant” and “For Single Patient Use Only.”

Instead of a belt, Lizzo wore a measuring tape that cinched the boxy dress at her waist.

In her first photo, Lizzo posed in an old-school-style print ad that asked, “Need some self-love?” Try Lizzo! Lose the guilt, gain self-confidence. Her caption for the post read: “Ok Halloween…you can start now.”

Subsequent messages included a video clip showing Lizzo dancing in her costume in front of a cutout of “South Park” character Cartman, while audio from the show’s Ozempic episode plays.

The May episode, titled “South Park: The End of Obesity,” satirized the growing popularity of weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Mounjaro, and included a false advertisement for a fake product called “Lizzo”.

In one scene from the series, “South Park” characters Sharon and Sheila discuss the “amazing” new medications Sharon is taking to manage her weight, but since her insurance only covers weight-loss medications for people with diabetes, Sharon reveals: “There’s a brand new obesity drug for those of us who can’t afford Ozempic and Mounjaro.

The scene then cuts to a fake commercial advertising “Lizzo”, a drug that “makes you feel good about your weight and costs 90% less than Ozempic.”

“In case studies, 70 percent of patients on Lizzo no longer cared about their weight,” says the narrator of the fake ad.

“Lizzo helps you eat whatever you want and keep physical activity to a minimum…Learn about the power of not giving a damn, with Lizzo,” the ad adds, along with a series of side effects.

In her live reaction video on Instagram and TikTok at the time, Lizzo said: “It’s crazy, I just feel like f***, I’m really that bitch.”

“I really showed the world how to love yourself and not give a fuck, to the point where these men from Colorado know who I am, and they put it in their cartoon that’s been running for 25 years,” she added, referring to “South Park” creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who met at the University of Colorado Boulder and brought the show to the state.

Lizzo has long been an advocate for body positivity and has spoken out about the body shaming she faces on social media.
