With the Argonauts having nothing to play for and having five key starters rested – Kelly, Carey, Hunter, Giffen and Allen – the Elks (-200) will likely win at home in their season finale. However, this line has too much vigor to recommend the ML.

Against the spread

QB Cameron Dukes will depart for Toronto. While he’s obviously not as productive as Kelly, he’s still serviceable with 11 total TDs (7 passing, 4 rushing) and 6 INTs this season. Dukes was the starter in the June 22 meeting between these teams and completed 18 of 21 passes for 214 yards with 2 touchdowns.

The Argonauts resting a few key starters is certainly a concern, but the Dukes getting 3.5 points against Edmonton seems like an overreaction to the fact that Toronto has already clinched the 2nd seed in the East.
