Summary: Fremont County Prosecutor Wants Someone to Do…

The Fremont County District Attorney is hoping someone will retrieve a body that has been in the county for 10 days.

John M Mitsoyyanis, 64, of Friday Harbor, Washington, was killed in a single-vehicle rollover on Horse Creek Road in Dubois on the afternoon of October 13th. He was shirtless and thrown from the tan Jeep, according to the Fremont County Sheriff’s call log. .

A death dossier published Thursday in the Cowboy State Daily states that his death resulted from blunt force trauma to the head and chest. His blood alcohol concentration was 263 grams per 100 milliliters, equivalent to approximately 0.298%.

In the document, Mitsoyianis is described as a Caucasian male, 6 feet tall, weighing approximately 220 pounds, with gray hair, blue eyes and multiple tattoos on his left arm, ankle and chest.

Fremont County Coroner Erin Ivie said in a statement Thursday that the deadline for the coroner to investigate the “current condition” of the body begins Wednesday. The statement states that anyone in the community or any friend of the deceased can now make a claim to inspect the condition of the body.

Anyone wishing to make a request should call the coroner’s office at 307-856-7150.

“I really hope to find the family of this deceased,” Ivie told Cowboy State Daily. “I hate that they are the last of their lineage or that they never stand out from any family. “In this case, it appears that he may be the last of his line.”
