Actor Wamiqa Gabbi has reportedly joined Akshay Kumar in Priyadarshan’s horror-comedy titled Bhooth Bangla. The film will feature three lead actresses and Wamiqa is one of them. It is believed that he has already signed up for the project and the team will begin shooting next year.

In a report published in Pinkvilla, it was stated that the character of Wamiqa will add more laughter to the story and everyone is excited to have her around. The report quoted a source close to the production as saying, “Wamiqa has impressed everyone with her work in the digital world and is now set to make it big in the theatrical landscape with films like Baby John and then Bhooth Bangla. She has signed on the dotted lines and will cause laughter among the cinema-going audience.” It has a solid role in Bangla.”

Bhooth Bangla, Reunites Akshay with director Priyadarshan 14 years later, it features a stunning cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav and Asrani. The report stated that in the story of the film, three girls lived together in the same house. The rest of the cast is currently moving on.

Meanwhile, Akshay is currently busy shooting Housefull 5. The actor recently wrapped up the film’s overseas schedule and is all set to wrap up his grand schedule in Mumbai from the first week of November. It is reported that the 50-day schedule will include the entire cast of the film and a huge set is being built for it in the city.

Bhooth Bangla is expected to hit the screens towards the end of 2025. Akshay and his team are likely to start shooting in January.
