Professional wrestling legend Hulk Hogan was a prominent figure at the Republican National Convention (RNC) over the summer as he expressed his support for the former President. Donald Trump He has made a re-election bid against Vice President Kamala Harris.

Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, came out in an interview on Wednesday. “PBD Podcast” and said he decided to publicly voice his support for Trump after the Republican presidential candidate was nearly assassinated at a rally in Pennsylvania in July.

Hogan recalled his feelings during the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in 1963 and described the assassination attempt on Trump as follows: go home for him.

“When they tried to kill Trump, whom I knew personally, it hit me even worse,” he said. “I got up from the couch and said, ‘this is it, this has got to stop.’ As a businessman, I don’t want to interrupt my audience, but I don’t care anymore. This is much more important than business.

“This man is trying to help people. He wants to help millions of people. He wants to help America. God bless our country, our homes, our schools, and I said, ‘I can’t handle this.'”

He said he wanted to do more at the time, and that’s what pushed him to speak at the RNC.

“I remember the reason I did it was because there’s no room in this world for that kind of thing. I was acting like a man,” Hogan said. “At home I was saying, ‘What if China invades or something like that happens, they’ll come to my door, I have guns.’ I was talking like a man, but I wasn’t. That Republican convention was not only the first time I spoke like a man, but I felt very strong about it, so I did it.” .

“And a few weeks later they tried to shoot him again. This has to stop. There’s no place for something like this in our society. That’s why I did it, and at this point I didn’t care what people thought. I knew it was wrong, and it’s about what’s right and what’s wrong, and it’s common sense.” “I know he has a lot to do with it, and that’s wrong.”

Added Hogan He said he was “praying” for the United States to return to the “right path.”
