Almost 3 million voters in Florida mailed their ballots or voted early, according to the latest figures from the Florida Division of Elections.

All over Florida there were: 13,845,913 registered active voters as of October 9, 5,455,480 are registered as Republicans and 4,400,561 are registered as Democrats. A total of 3,584,982 people have no affiliation with any party.

In some districts, ballot boxes opened for early voting on Monday, October 21. The state mandates early voting from Oct. 25 through Nov. 2, but local election offices can expand those dates and early voting can begin and continue as early as Oct. 21. Until November 3.

The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 5.

When is the 2024 presidential election?

The general election will be held on Tuesday, November 5. Surveys will be open between 07.00-19.00.

To vote on Election Day, you must vote in your assigned precinct.

When is early voting time in Florida?

The state requires early voting from Oct. 25 through Nov. 2, but each county’s Supervisor of Elections can choose to offer more early voting days to start up to five days early or last a day longer. Many began early voting on Monday, October 21, and some will continue early voting until November 3.

Deadline for postal voting requests were due on Thursday, October 24 at 5:00 p.m.

When are early voting and vote-by-mail votes counted in Florida?

Florida law allows Ballots will be processed immediately upon receipt. and will be counted as soon as the county completes public testing of its automated tabulation equipment, which begins at least 25 days before the start of early voting. The results are kept secret and premature disclosure is a serious crime.

Florida also typically cuts off early voting by two days before Election Day, giving county officials more time to sort them. By default, early voting ends on Saturday, November 2, but each county can choose to extend it until Sunday, November 3.

Will we know the results on election night in Florida?

There will probably and almost certainly be enough votes to be counted to predict the winners. Once the polls close, the results already received will be published. More will be added as feedback comes in from around the state.

But no state can count every vote by election night, and results could change days or even weeks later. The votes that will be counted after election day are as follows:

  • Provisional votes cast in ballot boxes By voters who did not have proper identification or had minor errors that were later “cured” or verified as eligible. If additional information is needed, Florida voters must submit it by 5 p.m. on the second day after the election.
  • Ballots that were challenged and later recovered and counted.
