Filings, Harris Continued to Drastically Outpace Trump in First Half of October

top line

Kamala Harris’ campaign continued to maintain its fundraising edge over Donald Trump in the first half of October, with filings filed Thursday showing the vice president’s main campaign committee outpacing the former president’s by a massive 6-to-1 margin.

Basic Information

Accordingly Applications Harris’ main campaign committee raised $97.2 million between Oct. 1 and Oct. 16, as it met with the Federal Election Commission on Sunday.

Although the difference in spending was not as stark, Harris’ campaign outpaced Trump’s by a large margin ($165.8 million compared to $135.9 million) during this period; Media costs constituted the largest portion of both of their expenses.

Despite spending more than Trump’s main operation, the Harris campaign’s stronger fundraising meant it had significantly more cash on hand as of October 16 – $118.8 million compared to $36.2 million.
