Montreal police investigate shootings in Kirkland

The Montreal Police (SPVM) are investigating after shots were fired in Kirkland, in the West Island, on Sunday evening.

The department says it received several calls to 911 regarding gunshots heard at 11:45 p.m. on Beaubois Street, near Timberlea-Trail Street.

“According to initial information obtained by the police, the suspects were in a vehicle,” said Véronique Dubuc, spokesperson for the Montreal police. “They shot at the residence and fled down Timberlea-Trail.”

She added that officers found projectile marks on a house, as well as shell casings on the ground.

No injuries were reported.

A security perimeter was established to allow investigators to analyze the scene.
