PLYMOUTH COUNTY, IA (Dakota News Now) – Authorities in Plymouth County, Iowa arrested a 16-year-old for climbing a television tower on Thursday.

At approximately 11:05 a.m., the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a person was attempting to climb the KCAU tower.

The deputy at the scene located a person located approximately 1,500 feet above the tower.

As a result, the TV channel had to cut the broadcast to help the situation.

Rescue teams were called to help the teenager down at around 13:00.

The teen is facing felony trespassing charges.
