Jon Stewart Curses Pollsters During Election Day Live Show

The daily showIt is Jon Stewart signed off on his live stream at midnight Eastern on Election Day, and although he was visibly frustrated and gloomy, he did his best to offer a message of hope.

While the former president’s prospects of victory Donald Trump This seemed to become evident by the end of his show, Stewart criticized pollsters as well as pundits for making unnecessary speculative predictions during election seasons:

This is not the case, it has not yet been completely decided. We don’t know exactly what all the results will be. Our time is limited. I want to send a quick quick message to all the pollsters, to the election pollsters, uh, “Blow me.” I never want to hear from you again. Never. I never want to hear, “We fixed the overcorrection video with the voters!” » You don’t know anything about it, and I don’t care about you. “We’ll figure it out next time.” Oh, we were on the fringes of ‘Blow Me’.

Look, look, look. Here’s the thing. Well, here’s what we know, is that we really don’t know anything, and we’re going to come out of this election, and we’re going to make all kinds of statements about what this country is and what this world is. . East. And the truth is, we’re really not going to know anything. And we are going to make people believe that this is the purpose of our civilization. We will all have to wake up tomorrow morning and work like hell to get the world to where we prefer it to be. And I just want to point out, just for perspective, that the lessons that our experts will draw from these results that they will pronounce with certainty will be wrong.

After a series of general post-election statements dating back to 2008, Stewart continued:

My point is: FUUUUUUUUUCK! But this is not the end. I promise you, this is not the end. And we must come together, and we must continue to fight and work day in and day out to create a better society for our children and for this world.
