Toronto Pearson Airport in Mississauga has been named one of Canada’s “most responsible” companies by Newsweek.

The media organization partnered with data company Statista to release a list titled “Canada’s Most Responsible Companies in 2025.”

“In its first year, this list recognizes 150 companies across 13 sectors for their commitment to climate, social protection and responsible governance,” says Newsweek.

“Selected from Canada’s 700 largest private and public companies, each received a score out of 100 based on data from more than 30 key performance indicators and a corporate social responsibility reputation survey of more than 4 000 Canadian consumers.

Among transportation and logistics companies, Pearson ranks third. His overall score was 66.33 out of 100.

The top two companies in the transportation and logistics category were CN, in second place, with an overall score of 74.03 out of 100, and Canada Post, in first place, with an overall score of 86.75.

Deborah Flint, president and CEO of Toronto Pearson, said the results confirm “that we are on track toward our vision of net zero carbon emissions and that we are making progress on issues important to Canadians.”

“We will continue to work at an industry level and with our partners to reduce environmental impact and create positive, lasting impacts for our passengers, our partners and the community at large,” Flint said.
