Find collectibles and signed books at the Bryan-College Station Fall Book Sale

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – If you’re looking for a new favorite book, the Bryan-College Station Friends of the Library you covered.

The organization is holding its fall book sale starting Friday at the Clara B. Mounce Public Library.

There will be thousands of books to purchase, including collectibles from former President George HW Bush’s library.

“There are treasures,” said Friends of the Library board member Deb Sappington.

In addition, there will be books for children and adolescents, books for adults and signed books in various genres and subjects.

The cost is $20 per bag Friday and Saturday, and $10 per bag Sunday.

“We have 30 books in a bag right now, so it’s a real opportunity,” said board member Donna Pohl.

Collectible books are sold at an individual price.

The book sale will be exclusively open to members of the Friends of the Library with early entry from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

For the general public, you can collect your books from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday and from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday.

If you would like to become a member of the Friends of the Library, you can purchase it at the door. Prices can be found here. General admission is free.

All proceeds from book sales will be donated to the Bryan-College Station Public Library System for programs such as 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten, book clubs and weekly story times.

After the fall book sale, the Friends of the Library look forward to celebrating 70 years of service. More information will be available later in the year.
