Martha Stewart And Ina Garten are two of today’s most beloved celebrity chefs – and once upon a time, they were even friends. The ’90s household stars fell out in the early 2000s, however, and the reason depends on who you ask.

On October 1, 2024, Ina Garten released her highly anticipated memoir, Be ready when luck comes. In it, the 76-year-old chef describes the reason for the end of her friendship with Martha as something as simple as moving out of state. In a conversation with Andy Cohen on Bravo’s Watch what’s happening livehowever, Martha says that is not the case.

During the episode, Andy asked Martha if she had read Ina’s new memoir and she admitted to reading parts of it. “You read the part about yourself,” he said jokingly and she confirmed.

When asked what she thought, Martha replied coolly: “She can write whatever she wants.” »

In the memoir, Ina reported that she and Martha lost contact when she moved to Connecticut and Martha remained in New York. Martha’s best friend, Snoop Doggwho was also present in the episode, chimed in, noting, “It’s weak. Martha doesn’t argue with people.

And Martha confirmed. According to her, Ina stopped talking to him after his incarceration.

Martha was convicted of a felony in a high-profile stock trading case in 2004. She served five months in prison and was later on probation for two years.

During the episode, Martha seemed completely unbothered by the topic. Maybe it’s having a new famous best friend to mingle with. “See, that’s when I stepped in, real friends,” Snoop said, referring to the start of their friendshipwhich flowered in 2008.

While fans were thrilled to get a reason straight from Martha’s mouth, they were even more thrilled with how Snoop supported her on live TV and how she was unwavering in her truth. “The way Snoop is so ready to defend her with the ‘What did she say?’ He says, ‘Not so much for my girlfriend.'” One fan wrote. “’Martha doesn’t argue with people.’ Love me some Snoop,” another fan commented. “Martha and Snoop aren’t TV friends, it’s a real friendship,” someone else commented. “His reality is very tasty and sympathetic. “…after going to prison. » She said this without an ounce of self-pity. Respect,” another fan wrote. “I love that she has ‘When I Went to Jail.’ This is awesome,” someone else added.

Here are more moments where Martha is Martha, Snoop is Snoop and the duo are the famous best friends we never knew we needed.
