Winnipeg police searching for driver after pedestrian hit in hit-and-run in September

An 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital in unstable condition after a hit-and-run in Winnipeg a month ago, and police are seeking help finding the driver.

Police were called to the scene near the intersection of St. Anne Road and Granby Bay after receiving reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a car on Sept. 29 around 3:30 a.m., a news release said. Sunday.

An investigation determined that the woman was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on St. Anne’s Road which fled the area following the collision. Another driver passing by shortly after called for help, police said.

The woman suffered serious injuries, but her life is not in danger. His condition was later reduced to stable condition at the hospital, police said.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver.
