How do the Patriots look during warmups? — 12:35 p.m.

By Christopher Price

The Patriots’ OL during warm-up is as follows:

LT: Lowe, LG: Jordan, C: Brown, RG: Robinson, RT: Onwenu

New programming! Robinson returns to start at right guard. Onwenu returns to right tackle.

It’s not really a surprise, but Ben Brown is working with Maye in warmups, which is certainly a sign that Maye is ready to go today.

Pop Douglas and Marcus Jones work as punt returners in warmups. Bolden, Polk, Baker, Boutte, Hasty and Gibson work as kick returners.

Globe team predictions — 12:30 p.m.

Christophe Price: Patriots 24, Titans 20. Upon his return, Drake Maye led them to victory by throwing two touchdown passes, and the Patriots won consecutive games for the first time in about two years.

Nicole Yang: Patriots 27, Titans 24. The Patriots get their third win of the season thanks to a two-touchdown performance from Drake Maye and a defensive score.

Ben Volin: Patriots 24, Titans 19. This is as close to a must-win game for the Patriots, who won’t face many weaker opponents than the Titans the rest of the year. The Patriots defense will keep Mason Rudolph out of the end zone for most of the day, and Drake Maye will return to the lineup to throw two touchdowns and run for another.

Dan Shaughnessy: Patriots 21, Titans 10. We love the Drake. “Pats move into second place in AFC East”. Too early to start talking about the joker?

Globe staff players to watch — 12:00 p.m.

Here are who are being monitored by Globe journalists.

Patriots

Everyone will watch Drake Mayeand for good reason. But it will also be important to keep an eye on the young receivers who are active today, including Kayshon Boutte. (KJ Osborn and Tyquan Thornton are out this afternoon.) Boutte had some big catches against the Jets last week, but was also part of a group of receivers who suffered several drops. Jerod Mayo made it clear that he wasn’t happy with the wide receivers’ performance in ball security. It will be interesting to see if his message gets through to Boutte and others this week. — Christophe Price

The defense. The Titans have the worst turnover differential in the league, so I expect New England’s defense to be able to force a few giveaways this season. — Nicole Yang

Ja’Lynn Polk. He is back in the lineup after missing last week’s game with a concussion. And the Titans secondary will be short this week without CB L’Jarius Sneed. Polk had a rough start to his career, with just 10 catches on 23 targets for 78 yards. With KJ Osborn and Tyquan Thornton both healthy today, look for Drake Maye and the Patriots to try to get Polk going by throwing him some designed passes. — Ben Volin

Titans

Tony Pollard. The back, who has done most of the damage on the ground this season for Tennessee (494 yards rushing, 4.3 yards per carry), has been dealing with a foot issue recently. But opposing backs have really gashed the Patriots’ run defense lately. New England’s defense bounced back last week against the Jets; let’s see if he can keep the arrow pointing in the right direction today against Tennessee. — Christophe Price

Calvin Ridley. Ridley had 10 catches and 143 yards last year – the highlight of his otherwise quiet season. The Patriots pursued Ridley this offseason, but he ultimately decided to sign with Tennessee for more money and the ability to stay down south. We’ll see if Ridley, who will likely face Christian Gonzalez, can build on his performance from last week. — Nicole Yang

Jeffery Simmons. His stats this year aren’t stellar, with just two sacks, one forced fumble and 21 tackles in six games. But Simmons remains one of the most disruptive interior defenders in the NFL and could be a handful for Patriots center Ben Brown, who is making his fourth straight start. — Ben Volin

Who is inactive for the Titans? — 11:45 a.m.

Quarterback Will Levis is among the Titans’ inactives, meaning Mason Rudolph will get the start on Sunday. Also inactive for Tennessee: running back Tyjae Spears, corners Tre Avery and L’Jarius Sneed, linebacker Cedric Gray, offensive lineman Dillon Radunz and tight end David Martin-Robinson.

Who is inactive for the Patriots? — 11:30 a.m.

By Christopher Price

The Patriots just announced their inactives for today’s game. Here’s a list of who will be absent and what that means.

Veteran safety Kyle Dugger (ankle) missed last week’s win over the Jets and will be out again today. The Patriots received good help at backcourt last week from a wide variety of defensive backs, including rookie Dell Pettus. As a result, Pettus could be in line for more work today.

Defensive tackle Eric Johnson is healthy, meaning Daniel Ekuale – who has been dealing with an abdominal issue in recent weeks – is back in the lineup. Also, it’s not exactly a one-for-one change, but the presence of Jaquelin Roy has given New England a big boost in recent weeks. Roy will likely be one of the few people the Patriots will lean on without Johnson.

Two noticeable scratches on the receivers. KJ Osborn, who has been the subject of trade rumors, is healthy this afternoon for New England. With the deadline looming on Tuesday, he’s definitely someone to watch between now and then. And wide receiver Tyquan Thornton, who was on the injury report (and was limited) with an ankle issue, won’t play either. It wouldn’t be a surprise if one of them – or both – wasn’t there after the deadline.

And Joe Milton III is the emergency quarterback.

Notable assets today include quarterback Drake Maye, who completed concussion protocol over the weekend after suffering a head injury last week against the Jets. Additionally, Ja’Lynn Polk, who suffered a concussion in last week’s loss to the Jaguars in London, is active for the first time since this contest. Additionally, Alex Austin is back to add some depth in the corner.

Learn more about Drake Maye’s Concussion Clearance Protocol — 11:20 a.m.

By Nicole Yang

The Patriots announced Saturday that quarterback Drake Maye has passed concussion protocol and will be available to play Sunday against the Tennessee Titans.

The Patriots initially listed Maye as questionable after participating on a limited basis in practice all week. But coach Jerod Mayo indicated Friday that there was still a chance for Maye to start Sunday. The Patriots just needed clearance from medical professionals.

“Once he gets out of protocol, I think we feel like he’s been cleared by the medical professionals,” Mayo said. “He’ll be ready to go.”

Maye entered protocol after suffering a head injury in the first quarter of last Sunday’s win over the Jets. He remained on the field to complete that practice, but then entered the blue medical tent on the sideline, went to the locker room and did not return to the field.

The league fined Jets linebacker Jamien Sherwood $6,354 for unnecessary brutality in the blow that caused Maye’s concussion. Officials did not throw a flag on the play, even though Sherwood’s helmet struck Maye’s.

Can the Patriots run defense continue to hold the line against the Titans? — 10:45 a.m.

By Christopher Price

Patriots defensive tackle Davon Godchaux offered a candid assessment last Sunday of the team’s run defense against the Jets, explaining why they’ve had success — as opposed to struggling in previous weeks — it’s that they “removed the cute (expletive)” and I got back to basics.

Asked for Godchaux’s opinion on Thursday, New England’s defensive assistants took a different approach, instead praising the running ability of the front seven.

“For me, really, we executed,” defensive coordinator DeMarcus Covington said. “We talked last week about a fundamentally strong and cohesive football (team).

“And we also said that it’s not really about words but about actions, and that’s how I see it. It’s not about what you say. It’s about what you do and how you do it. How is your performance and show the action on the field.

Unconventional preview: The Patriots have a real chance Sunday against the Titans — 10:30 a.m.

By Chad Finn

Enjoy this storyline as much as you can, Patriots fans. Because Sunday’s road game against the Titans could be the last time this season that Jerod Mayo’s crew enters a game with more wins than its opponent.

The Titans have themselves a rookie head coach in Brian Callahan, the former Bengals offensive coordinator who was hired to replace a great coach in Mike Vrabel, and things aren’t going well. The Titans have a victory — a 31-12 victory over Tyler Huntley and the Dolphins in Week 4 – and lost their other six matches, with two three-game losing streaks already on their books.
