Hallandale Beach woman says someone found her service dog but refuses to return her beloved Yorkie – WSVN 7News | Miami News, Weather, Sports

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL. (WSVN) – A South Florida woman is asking for the public’s help after, she said, her service dog wandered away from her home and ended up in someone’s hands one who has difficulty giving it back.

Speaking to 7News on Saturday afternoon, Marina Kadyevskaya asked for information while holding a framed photo of Sierra, her beloved Yorkie.

“I just need your help because I don’t know how to find this girl who is holding my dog and she just won’t give it back,” she said.

Today, Kadyevskaya is desperate to bring her service dog home.

“I’m asking people to help me find the dog, because it’s not just a pet; she helps me with my disability,” she said.

Kadyevskaya said that everything happened last Sunday, October 27. She was sitting on her porch outside her Hallandale Beach home with her beloved Yorkie.

“I go into the house to get something, and when I come out, it’s gone,” she said. “I start running through the streets and call him.”

But Sierra was nowhere to be found.

“I come to another street and ask all the other neighbors if they saw her, and no one said they saw her,” Kadyevskaya said.

When Kadyevskaya checked her phone, she said, she saw a message that brought her closer to finding Sierra.

“It said ‘dog found on Hallandale Beach Boulevard and US 1,'” she said.

Kadyevskaya said she reached out, hoping for a reunion.

“‘Please, I’m begging you, please help me with this reunion, he’s my puppy.’ No response,” she said.

Twenty-four hours later, the post was deleted.

“And I can’t reach her in any way.” I don’t know his name, I don’t know his phone number, no address, nothing,” Kadyevskaya said.

Police told Kadyevskaya that her hands were tied, with no information about the person who sent the message.

Now she is heartbroken because, she says, Sierra is not just a pet but her closest companion.

“Nine years with her, and now I’m desperate and very uncertain, because I can’t do anything without her,” she said, holding back tears.

Devastated, Kadyevskaya asks the public for help.

“If you post the message, please return the dog. If you’re not ready to give it back in the first place, why are you posting this? » she said.

Kadyevskaya had a simple message.

“Please take my dog home. I’m begging you, please,” she said.

There is now a $2,500 reward for Sierra’s return. Kadyevskaya said she was not seeking to press charges; she just wants to bring her dog home.
