It was a disaster barely avoided Monday night in Milwaukee:

A suspected drunk driver came within inches of Vice President Kamala Harris’ motorcade while on Interstate 94 in downtown Milwaukee Monday night.

According to Milwaukee spokesman James Burnett, the wrong-way driver was heading west on the eastbound shoulder lane between Marquette Junction and 16th Street when Harris’ motorcade stopped a co-driver at the end of the motorcade as it headed toward the lake. County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was recorded on the Ministry of Transport camera.

Deputies were able to stop the 55-year-old driver of the SUV near 16th Street, Burnett said. Deputies observed an apparent intoxicant and performed field sobriety tests before the man was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated and recklessly endangering safety.

Harris’ campaign deferred to the Secret Service for comment, and the Secret Service thanked only the Milwaukee Sheriff’s Office for catching the drunk driver.

But that doesn’t stop the Secret Service, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, or the City of Milwaukee Police Department from explaining how this drunk driver was allowed to get so close to the Vice President.

A similar incident occurred on Labor Day; One of the minibuses in Governor Tim Walz’s convoy had an accident. It was asked why the highway was not closed, and the secret service said that the highway closures were usually only for the president and other protected persons.

But this is the fucking Vice President of the United States! You can’t tell me he doesn’t warrant that much protection. There needs to be an independent investigation into how this happened and how to prevent it from happening again, including decommissioning agents who may have lost loyalty. In other words, clean up the MAGA mess.
