Fatal shooting in Brampton: 2 more accused

Police have charged two more people in connection with a fatal shooting in Brampton in August.

Peel Regional Police were called to a residence on Millstone Drive and St. Tropez Court shortly before 1 a.m. for a suspicious vehicle on August 30.

When they arrived, police said they found a man who had been shot inside a vehicle. He was later pronounced dead at the scene. Police said the victim’s identity was not released at the family’s request.

In September, police charged Parmvir Singh, 23 with first degree murder.

In a press release published on Saturdaypolice said they have charged two other people in connection with the shooting.

Police have charged Manvir Khabra, 21, and an 18-year-old man, both from Brampton, with manslaughter. The accusations have not been tested in court.

Officers said because the 18-year-old man was a youth at the time of the incident, his identity was protected under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

CTV News Toronto video obtained which appears to show the moments before the victim’s death.

In the video, an SUV is seen idling on the side of the road and someone asks to be allowed to board the vehicle. The SUV then drives off and what sounds like gunshots are heard shortly after. Four people were seen fleeing the scene.
