Glass animals have just revealed which Australian artist will be warming up the stage for their big Australian tour this monthwhich includes a double bill on the iconic Sydney Opera House forecourt, with the British headliners hand-picking local indie-pop rockstar MAYA to do the honors.

ARIA-nominated singer-songwriter MAY-A was catapulted to stardom with her 2021 debut EP, Don’t kiss your friendsbefore moving on to tops triple j Hottest 100 in 2022 with his Flume collaboration, “Say Nothing”.

MAY-A will appear in all four of Glass Animals’ monster shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney this month, with the first of those two dates at the Opera House already sold out.

Glass Animals, Britain’s hottest, Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling band, are touring in honor of their fourth studio album, I love you so fucking muchwhich follows Glass Animals’ 2020 LP Dreamlandwhich sold over 12 million copies worldwide and brought to life “Heat Waves”, which was voted #1 in the triple j Hottest 100 and is now x19 Platinum ARIA accredited.

“Australia. We love you so much,” Glass Animals frontman Dave Bayley said in a press release. “When we got to tour there, we only had four songs. So we played them twice. And you forgave us. And then you gave us our very first top 100 hit with “Gooey.” And then you embraced “Heat Waves” so much that I tattooed the shape of Australia on it. my buttock.

He continued: “This is my only tattoo. I forget it’s there sometimes and it surprises me when I get out of my bubble bath. But it makes me very happy. And I feel the same way announcing this new Australian tour. The same happiness I feel when looking at my butt in the mirror. See you soon.”
