Perplexity AI CEO Aravind Srinivas says he’s ‘still waiting’ for green card; Musk responds: “Donald Trump will fix it”

Elon Musk took a hit Biden American administration, saying that American immigration policy is upside down.

His comments followed a post from the CEO of Perplexity AI, who shared his struggles with a three-year wait for a green card.

“We have an inverted system that makes it difficult for very talented people to come to America legally, but trivial for criminals to come here illegally. Why is it easier to enter illegally as a murderer than legally as a Nobel laureate? » said the CEO of SpaceX.

One user added: “It’s a shame that someone like you has to wait 3+ years to get a green card given the type of value you’ve added to America. »

One user said: “Especially coming from India the odds are stacked against you crazy, especially as a founder there are only a handful of ways that work and even as a student in the US- United States when I was at that stage, I always considered being in the United States to be a huge thing, and especially during COVID, everything was difficult. I was afraid of leaving the country. case Trump would impose a ban on students and I would be unfairly kicked out of my program – which he did and fortunately was sued by MIT, etc. Above all, the stress and emotional toll, l. uncertainty, are biting, I’m grateful to be a founder and not have an H1B visa, which is a nightmare in itself.
