VANCOUVER Washington (KPTV) – One person is dead and two others were injured after a shooting at the Vancouver Mall Thursday evening, according to VPD.

At 8 p.m., VPD posted to X/Twitter and asked people to avoid the area while they investigated, and said more information would be released when possible.

At 8:30 p.m., police announced that there had been a shooting and that the victims were rushed to the hospital.

Police said there was no active threat and they were contacting people sheltering inside the mall.

FOX 12 has a crew at the mall and will update this story as soon as possible.
