The future of rent control in Hoboken is in the hands of voters, but even in the final week before the Nov. 5 vote, they’re not exactly inundated with campaign materials.

The landlord interest group that launched the referendum to change Hoboken’s rent control ordinance sent much of the same message — largely mailers and digital ads — before Election Day, a striking difference from Jersey City’s 2019 referendum on short-term rentals. where Airbnb spent over $3 million.
