    Almost half of registered voters in Florida have already voted, either at early voting locations or by mail-in ballot. But if you plan to vote before Election Day, your time is running out.

    Early voting ends Saturday in most Florida counties, with 17 of them extending early voting until Sunday and two of them, Pinellas and Taylor counties, extending theirs until Election Day due to damage caused by Hurricane Milton.

    If you have requested a postal vote, it it may be too late to send it back in time for it to reach the Supervisor of Elections office by 7 p.m. on Election Day. You can drop it off at designated drop boxes or election offices, or return it to a polling location and vote in person.

    What is early voting?

    “Eligible and registered voters may vote before Election Day at any designated early voting site in their county of registration during early voting days and hours,” The Florida Division of Elections website states.

    “The voter votes in the same way as on election day. The ballot is cast in the same voting equipment used on Election Day.

    Another benefit of early voting is that you don’t have to vote in your assigned voting precinct like you do on Election Day.

    When is the 2024 presidential election?

    The general election will take place on Tuesday, November 5.

    When does early voting end in Florida for the 2024 election?

    Early voting must occur at least from the 10th day before the election to the 3rd day before the election. Each county elections supervisor can choose to offer more days of early voting, starting up to five days earlier or lasting one day longer.

    Where can I go to vote early? How to find your polling location

    To find the early voting site closest to you and the dates and times for early voting in your county, visit your county’s supervisor of elections website or search for them via Florida Election Divisions Precinct Lookup Tool. There may be an additional “early voting” link to find early voting sites.

    You must vote in your county, but if you vote early, you do not have to vote in your assigned constituency. An ID with your signature is required to vote in Florida. You can vote without ID, but you will be given a provisional ballot, which will be examined by the Supervisor of Elections.

    How can I make sure my ballot was counted in Florida?

    You can – and should – verify that your ballot has been received and counted by checking the absentee voting and status search information in your county. You can find them all at dos.myflorIda.com/elections.
