If you don’t know how to start a battle against your friends in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket after manufacturing the perfect deckwe’ll help you understand how it works and what you need to do to set everything up.

How to create a private battle with your friend in Pokémon TCGP

Battles can only take place between two players, so 2v2 or more is currently not possible. You need to make sure you can communicate with your friend or it won’t work, but if you’ve already become friends with them you probably have a way to talk to them.

Step 1: Head to the Battle menu by selecting the fourth icon at the bottom of your screen.

Step 3: You and your friend must enter the same shared password to join each other’s games. You can either enter a password yourself or have the game generate one automatically for you. The password is case sensitive, so make sure it is correct.

Step 4: Once the password is set, select the Bridge to select a deck to fight with, then select the Battle! button. You should then quickly meet your friend, but if not, the password was probably written incorrectly or maybe one of you has a bad internet connection.

Currently, there is no other way to play a private game with a friend unless you enter the same password. This means it’s impossible to play private matches with strangers you met online and then friends after a match. Pokémon TCGP is still new, so Nintendo might update it in the future.
