Man orders Biryani online, delivery boy scolds him and asks him not to eat chicken before Diwali

A Delhi man has narrated how he was reprimanded by a delivery agent when he ordered biryani before Diwali. The man in a post on Reddit shared that the delivery agent asked him not to eat chicken and mutton, saying it was not “good in our religion.” The delivery man also asked him to eat something “clean”.

The man said he froze after listening to what the delivery man said. “What should I do? I have his number and name, he knows my house, if I report him he might make a scene. Din kharab mood kharab,” the man wrote in the message.

The post infuriated other users, as many questioned “moral policing.” “Man, that was one of my biggest fears – that kind of moral policing. You should report this guy and make sure you tell him by email or phone that this person should never come and deliver to your house again “wrote one user.

Another user said: “Why is he blaming you for his beliefs? Then ask him not to deliver chicken! “Where is India going? Soon people will start fighting physically over the food they eat,” a third person wrote, while another person said: “Why is he putting his belief on you ? Then ask him not to deliver chicken!

“These stupid morons are half literate and brainwashed. Buffalo has been a sacrificial food for 2000 years. Even Swami Vivekananda said that no Brahmin can be Brahmin without eating meat. Media Age social and moral policing exercised by stupid divine men has made everyone a policeman.” one person wrote.

One man said something similar happened to him. “Something similar happened to me. I ordered a pork hot dog a while ago from Flippin Burgers. The delivery guy was Muslim. When the guy came to deliver he said there was some pork inside. I was frozen for a second then I said I know I guess his religion doesn’t allow me to eat pork so he just let me know. subtly that it was haram Even if it was weird, he just said that once, so forget it,” he wrote.
