US Presidential Election 2024: Kamala Harris calls Donald Trump ‘unstable’ and ‘vengeful’ at Ellipse rally

A few days before the American presidential election, Democratic candidate Kamala Harris criticized his opponent, Republican candidate Donald Trumpin a speech Tuesday evening. Speaking from the Ellipse, with the White House in view, Harris called Trump “unstable” and “motivated by revenge,” and said the election offered voters a clear choice.

Harris stressed that her vision for the country was very different from Trump’s.

“In less than 90 days, either Donald Trump or I will be in the Oval Office,” she said.

She added that Trump, if re-elected, would bring an “enemies list,” while she would bring a “to-do list” focused on helping the American people, according to CNN.

Harris warned that Trump’s approach would threaten Americans’ freedoms, saying: “Donald Trump intends to use the United States military against American citizens who simply disagree with him, calling them “enemy from within”. ” She added: “He’s not someone who wants to make your life better. Trump focuses on revenge, holding grudges, and seeking unchecked power.

Harris promised to work to unify the country and address major challenges, such as rising health care and costs. She outlined her plan to expand Medicare to home health care and support reproductive rights, contrasting her approach with what she described as Trump’s divisive style.

She stressed that her presidency would be focused on building cooperation rather than conflict.

“In a democracy, we don’t have to agree on everything. This is not the American way,” Harris said. “The people who disagree are not the ‘enemy within’: they are family, neighbors and colleagues.”

Harris also reflected on her journey as the daughter of immigrants and her time as a prosecutor, saying those experiences give her a deep commitment to helping people.

“I’ve always had an instinct to protect those who are treated unfairly,” she said, adding that this drive came from her mother’s influence.

As Election Day approaches, Harris’ speech highlighted the stark differences between her goals and Trump’s approach, reminding voters of the choice they face between an emphasis on stability and style unpredictable by Trump.
