NS news: Collisions and heavy traffic on Halifax bridges Wednesday

Collisions on the two bridges spanning Halifax Harbor caused traffic problems for commuters Wednesday morning.

Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency says there was a three-vehicle collision on the MacKay Bridge around 6:30 a.m.

Halifax Harbor Bridges says there were also two separate accidents on the Macdonald Bridge, as well as a car breaking down.

No injuries were reported in these incidents.

The incidents caused traffic to slow down significantly in many areas of the city during morning commutes.

The traffic jams gradually began to dissipate around 8:30 a.m.
