‘Best Yet’: Brandon Moreno Debuts Custom Shorts for UFC Edmonton, Leaving Fans in Awe

Two-time flyweight champion Brandon Moreno returns to the UFC Edmonton octagon with a new custom thread, and they might just be his best fit yet.

Even if he is no longer champion after losing the title to Alexandre Pantoja, he remains the golden boy of the UFC! And the specially designed shorts are just Moreno’s way of “rizzing” the place.

The 30-year-old will wear custom black and red combat shorts with green lettering in keeping with his Mexican heritage.

This extravagant design left the fandom impressed, as many claimed that the decision to allow fighters to customize their shorts could have culminated in Moreno’s new outfit. “These custom shorts just keep getting better.”

One guy went so far as to claim he hadn’t been better and said, “Best yet.” » Others shared the same sentiments, saying the shorts were “Great AF.”

An avid Moreno fan noted his regret for not seeing these shorts at UFC Noche earlier in the year and claimed: “Moreno should have fought in these shorts at UFC Noche.”

Another guy simply asked where he could get the shorts. “Take my $$$, where can I buy it?” »

The new yarn “The Assassin Baby” will also have a Quetzalcōātl-inspired design and, as previously mentioned, a celebration of its Mexican heritage.

Quetzalcōātl is a serpent deity in Aztec culture, usually depicted as a combination of the green quetzal bird and a serpent. In Aztec culture, he is the god of light, wisdom and fertility.

All things considered, Moreno is on a two-fight losing streak, the last of which came at the hands of Brandon Royval via a split decision at UFC Fight Night earlier this year.

He will therefore seek to remedy this situation as soon as possible. You can’t be called a murderer if you don’t kill anything.

But as good as this fight is, it’s still just a grain of sand in an ocean of awesome.

UFC Edmonton main card explained

The UFC’s visit to the ‘City of Champions’ will feature six fights on the main card, with the five-round flyweight bout between Moreno and Albazi headlining the event.

You don’t know Albazi very well? Well, as of this point, he is 5-0 in the promotion with wins over Kai Kara France, Alessandro Costa, etc. with the ambition of adding more names to the win column.

The co-main event takes place between Erin Blanchfield and fan favorite “Thug” Rose Namajunas for five rounds, with the aforementioned flyweights taking center stage.

Next up is a heavyweight bout where Derrick Lewis will test Dana White Contender Series graduate Jhonata Diniz in a clash of giants.

Caio Machado vs. Brendson Ribeiro follows this. Both members of the DWCS class of 23 will look to settle scores in a light heavyweight bout as Machado looks to liven things up after two dismal fights at heavyweight.

That leaves us with two fights in the middleweight and welterweight divisions with Canadian Marc-André Barriault taking on German Dustin Stoltzfus.

The UFC Edmonton main card opens on November 2, 2024, with a welterweight clash between Mike Malott and Trevin Giles promising a thriller fight.
