Fans on social media claimed his advice conflicted with that of Sugar Hill Steward and Andy Lee and contributed to Fury’s initial demise.

Boxing manager Sam Jones supported this view, insisting the corner would need some changes for their December 21 rematch.

And in the latest episode of talkBOXING with Simon Jordan and Spencer OliverJones revealed that Fury’s father challenged his views and angrily confronted him in person.

“Listen, John Fury told me about it during the Joshua fight (loss to Dubois),” he said.

“He wasn’t happy with my comments, I said there were too many voices in Tyson’s corner. I think having three voices all yelling instructions at you isn’t good for anyone.

“That’s just my opinion. But I just thought you needed SugarHill there and Andy Lee. His dad can be there because he’s his dad.

“Look, whatever anyone thinks of John Fury, he wants his son to win, right? But shouting different instructions to your son in front of SugarHill, who is the head coach.

“It’s like when my dad watched me play football, not very good. He would shout instructions at me that you probably shouldn’t say. It’s difficult.

“But I wasn’t saying John Fury shouldn’t be around Tyson. I just don’t think he should be around. That’s my opinion.

“My opinion won’t change on that. I think he should have Andy Lee in there, a cut man, and SugarHill. That’s all he needs. And someone to put the stool in the ring.”

Despite the criticism, Fury refused to blame his team and insists he did enough to win, as per their advice, thus making himself victorious. on your own scorecard.

Tyson Fury’s father John Fury was left bleeding after a heated clash with a member of Oleksandr Usyk’s team ahead of their massive fight in Saudi Arabia.

He also hinted that he wouldn’t change anyone in his camp, and the team will remain the same for the rematch later this year.

But coach Andy Lee said only Sugar Hill Steward would be allowed to participate. give instructions during the fight.

Boxing expert Oliver agreed with Jones’ original take on Fury Sr’s role, but believes it is wise of the former champion to keep his corner the same.

“Too much noise coming from John Fury,” he added.

“I think SugarHill and Andy Lee are great students of the game, they understand the game. Those are two good voices you need in there.

“They’ll understand when to be loud and when to stand back and stay quiet. Those are the two voices you need in the corner. John Fury is very loud and brash, and you don’t need that.

“I also think it’s a wise decision to Tyson Fury Besides, I’m not changing course. I think they are both educated enough to make these slight adjustments.

“There doesn’t need to be a big change. It wasn’t a one-sided landslide victory for Alexander Ousyk.

“Tyson Fury has never been eliminated. But there must be changes from Tyson Fury in his performance.”
