Manitoba Weather: Cooler Temperatures Return

After sunshine and rising temperatures on Monday, conditions Tuesday in Winnipeg and southern Manitoba are cloudy and cooler in comparison.

The maximum temperature forecast for Winnipeg today is 9°C. Sure, it’s not as hot as yesterday’s 15C, but it’s still four degrees above normal for late October.

The warm front that brought yesterday’s mild weather to southern Manitoba is now over Hudson Bay.

This same front helped trigger various forms of precipitation in northern areas yesterday.

Today, the cold front crosses the north, where it brings strong and gusty westerly winds.

Otherwise, conditions in the north are cloudy with a chance of showers or snow. Daytime highs will be just above or below freezing.

Like Winnipeg, much of southern Manitoba and northwestern Ontario will also be cloudy. But not much precipitation is expected and the winds are lighter.

Dauphin and Swan River, on the other hand, will enjoy a nice mix of sun and clouds with above-seasonal temperatures this afternoon.

Much of the western half of the province will see skies clear at least partially this evening, while clouds will persist around Winnipeg and eastern areas.

Sunshine or a mix of sun and clouds will return to most of Manitoba, including Winnipeg, on Wednesday. Also expect a return of more seasonal temperatures tomorrow.

Cloudy conditions will invade the South on Thursday, creating a spooky atmosphere for Halloween. There is no precipitation in sight, but visitors should still wear warm suits.
