After the announcement that the Washington Post was not officially endorsing a candidate (even though we can glean their choice based on the flood of positive “Kamala Koverage”), there was an all-out revolt from the staff. Some writers and editors are resigning, and many are meowing on social media about what this confrontation with journalism means for the good of our country or some other chatter.

What’s hilarious is that they never realized that their emotional breakdown on social media would cause a reader revolt, and now many realize what they caused, and it’s striking. Well done, you self-involved idiots.

Report on the mirror – WASHINGTON POST

The current collapse of the Washington Post, due to the paper’s failure to endorse a candidate because of its practice of not being partisan, has been the cause of shouting from WaPo staff for days . There were resignations and all kinds of criticism aimed at their employer – which led to unforeseen circumstances.

In response, readers have canceled their subscriptions and note that these same journalists are now waving their arms, begging people not to do so because it is detrimental to their condition. The most unconscious example is that of Caroline Kitchener, who learned of the folly of their outrage when she learned that her own mother had canceled her subscription.

Pre-written field reports – WASHINGTON POST

To remedy WaPo’s denial of support, a brave soul at the paper came forward to publish a column in support of Kamala Harris. Given how ridiculous Kamala Harris’ campaign has been, it seems fitting that this support would come from the humor columnist.

Paradox of presentation – NEW YORK TIMES

Maureen Dowd looked at some internal polling results and made a discovery: 60% of women vote for Kamala Harris and 60% of men vote for Trump. Then Dowd drew a humorous conclusion: Men who don’t vote for Harris are toxic animals.

It’s always amusing to watch the media spend years demonizing a group, then get angry when said group doesn’t enthusiastically support a cause. White people are inherently racist but unwilling to fork over money for reparations, they harass Christians for years but fail to understand opposition to abortion, they tell women to shut the door and supporting men in women’s sports, and so on. However, these sexist men will (surprisingly) not support a Democrat after that party has spent a generation attacking masculinity.

In trying to determine the best path forward to meet Kamala’s challenge, we note that Dowd doesn’t see a problem in the way women vote, but that these men voting for hers identically is a problem. So what’s his best method for convincing guys to join the K-Hive? By insulting them!

Cartoonish macho posturing / Trump’s bluster, bullying and name-calling / The shrinking of male primacy / Trump is exploiting the crisis among Gen Z men, a crisis driven by loneliness, Covid isolation, insecurity economic, lack of purpose / Trump is phallocentric

Yeah…you can imagine the guys now rushing to vote for Kamala!

Pre-written field reports -CNN

Things got somewhat controversial on CNN when Jake Tapper called on JD Vance, and his guest broke Jake’s rules of absorbing all criticism without question!

Instead, Vance had the temerity to – instead of swallowing Tapper’s accusatory rhetoric – come back with CNN’s history of false allegations of Russian collusion and Hunter Biden’s laptop. But then Vance delivered the blow that really upset Tapper.

While the host insisted they had to cover Trump’s controversial comments because he didn’t discuss topics like the economy, Vance set him straight, explaining that he and Trump were discussing of the economy almost daily. Watch as Tapper is confronted with some hard truths and becomes rather unhinged as a result.

  • “Okay, so what we did weeks ago that still makes everyone angry? We’re going to do it again, and we want everyone to watch.”

Three weeks ago, “60 Minutes” found itself embroiled in a controversy of its own origin when it edited the Kamala Harris interview and exposed how it helped improve its image. Last week, Norah O’Donnell displayed widespread partisanship over several nights as she opened coverage of the campaign by saying Harris was doing great things for her cause, but took a critical look at Trump over his appearances and comments. Then Norah traveled to Houston to livestream Kamala’s rally with Beyoncé.

After all that, the network had the means to promote the fact that O’Donnell would conduct an interview with Harris, as if at this point everyone except the already converted was interested. It seems like few people were actually interested, as there hasn’t been much media coverage on anything that was said during this interview.

Body verifying fact-checkers – POLITIVE FACT

So Kamala dared to bring up immigration during her electoral campaign, and it is rather surprising. She boasts of having reduced immigration by more than 50%! Annnnnd, here’s PolitiFact right behind her to give a REAL all-green rating.

One thing is not given: the usual use of “needs more context” or “lacking some details”, as so commonly used to twist a conservative’s factual statement into HALF TRUE, or less. So allow us to engage in practice!

Here we see no mention of how this “accurate” number is arrived at in relation to the alarming number of border encounters this administration has allowed into the country. Last year saw a record number of these arrivals, so yes – when you start at these unacceptable levels, today it’s “lower”:

In September, the latest month for which data is available and the end of fiscal 2024, there were about 54,000 encounters. That’s a drop of 78%, or more than half, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection data.
