How to Fix a Slippery Carpet

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – If you have a slippery rug on your hardwood floors, you may be wondering how to fix this little problem.

How :

  • Take a glue gun
  • Run a strip every two inches or so
  • And then you’re gonna go away and let it dry, make sure it dries

“I don’t want you to stick the rug to the floor. I want it to keep it from slipping. What else can you use?

You can use caulk, believe it or not, and it won’t be permanent. All you have to do is take the caulk the same way and put a strip of caulk every few inches. When you want to take it off, you’ll just grab it. Take a scraper, like a plastic knife, and remove it immediately. It will not damage the carpet or damage the floor.

And something that I love and use a lot around the house are these little carpet sealers that keep your carpet from slipping.
